A Master Potter

The second half of our crafts day took us to Urubamba and the studio of Pablo Seminario, arguably the most famous ceramicist in Peru. His son, a veterinarian and photographer, led us on a tour, which included meeting the various rescue animals living on the property.

We had the chance to meet Don Seminario, and he explained how his work has evolved over the years. Most of his current pieces reflect the shapes of beans or arrowheads.

We ended our visit by shopping for pieces to take home — so hard to choose! Mugs   Pots
